For Swan, regeneration is not just about bricks and mortar, but working with communities to transform their prospects through both the physical and socio-economic regeneration of the urban environment.
We work in partnership with local authorities and other stakeholders to build high quality affordable homes, renovate existing homes beyond the Decent Homes Standard and significantly improve the urban environment. Alongside the physical aspects of our new build and regeneration works, we also provide employment opportunities for local people, build residents' new skills and encourage community engagement.
We have the in-house expertise and commercial understanding to deliver the most challenging of regeneration schemes. Our in-house Regeneration Masterclass, which has input from expert partners such as the Building Research Establishment, ensures that our staff are up-to-date with industry best practice and enhances our considerable knowledge and skills base.
Swan New Homes - Selling New Homes
Swan has established Swan New Homes, a non-charitable subsidiary to develop homes for private market sale. Profits generated by Swan New Homes are gift aided back to the Group and invested in our core affordable housing programme. Swan New Home - Building New Homes
Swan has established an in-house construction team, led by an experienced Construction Director. This team is achieving efficiencies through the direct management of construction sub-contracts and works on site.
Construction is well underway on 185 new residential units that forms the third phase of the regeneration of the Five Links Estate in Basildon, Essex.
