Home buyers looking to get a foot on the property ladder are being urged to consider part-buy part-rent schemes offered by Swan Housing Group as an alternative to renting.
Thrilled couple Andy Moores 26, and Jenna Ali 21, have just moved into their first home – a two-bedroom apartment in Swan’s Nova Court development in Tower Hamlets, which they have purchased at a 40% share.
“I love my new home,” said Jenna. “We never dreamed we would be living in an apartment like this. We were originally looking to rent but then we heard about the part-buy part-rent scheme and thought it was a great way to get onto the property ladder. We would never have afforded it otherwise so we are really pleased to be given this opportunity. We would have been wasting our money if we had rented, but this way we have got a share in our own home and we’re building for a future.”
After viewing a property on the new development in Yabsley Street, Andy and Jenna immediately reserved a property. “We fell in love with it and wanted to move in right away. The home ownership team at Swan really looked after us and we were given lots of support. The manager became like my mum, she was there for me through the whole process!” continued Jenna.
Since moving into their new property in January the couple have put friends on to the shared ownership scheme.“We would recommend this to anyone. We have been promoting it to all of our friends, and one of them has even moved in to a part-buy part-rent home now. We can’t thank Swan enough for giving us this opportunity.”
