Swan Group is celebrating after the Sunday Times identified them as one of the best not for profit companies to work for in the UK. This year they were ranked at number 34 up 29 places from last year, when they first entered the chart!
Swan employees participated in the best companies survey, which is based on '8 factors of workplace engagement'. It is completely secure and anonymous, so employees are free to say how they really feel.
The accreditation is awarded to the best performing businesses that demonstrate a true commitment to creating an engaging and uplifting environment for staff who work there - the focus being celebrating those companies who are making the "world a better workplace".
To mark their success, Swan held simultaneous events at the offices across Essex and East London, using Swan TV to reveal Swan's score and also to launch Swan's new corporate strategy.
John Synnuck, Swan's Chief Executive said:
We are proud to be recognised as one of the best companies to work for in the UK - and to come in at number 34is a fantastic achievement. We are particularly delighted that we have moved up29places on last year, which is testament to the hard work of our management teams to improve employee engagement and satisfaction and the enthusiasm with which our staff have responded.
Today we have all had a great day celebrating and it's been particularly wonderful to hear from our staff that they support our corporate strategy and that they feel strongly, as we do as an Executive Team, that "Together we can deliver more". We came in 16th for "giving something back", which is fantastic and demonstrates that our staff really do believe in our social purpose!"
Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies said:
I would like to congratulate Swan on their outstanding achievement. This year it is encouraging to see that more and more organisations are recognising the value of employee engagement and are willing to benchmark themselves against the best to ensure they are offering their employees the best possible experience. Organisations like Swan have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a great place to work".
