Today's event will mark the next phase of construction, including the start of the fitting out of the building.Further works, including the commercial unit, which will house the Marketing Suite, are planned for completion early next year.
The project is being constructed by Swan's in-house developer NU living and is being funded in part by Housing Zone funding.
John Synnuck, Swan's Chief Executive said:
"We are delighted to celebrate the progress of this development. Working in partnership with the London Borough of Redbridge and the Mayor of London, our regeneration of The Paragon, like our regeneration at Repton Court and Claire House, will provide much needed high-quality new homes for the Borough, together with improved communal areas including play equipment for children. The Paragon will also introduce a new commercial unit to compliment the exciting wider regeneration of the Borough."
Cllr Linda Huggett, Mayor of Redbridge said:
"It is fantastic to see new quality homes being built in Ilford; this coupled with the Elizabeth line rail project will bring new vitality to what was a bustling town centre."
Cllr Jas Athwal. Leader of Redbridge said:
"This scheme forms an important part of our regeneration plans for Ilford Town Centre, supporting the Mayor's Housing Zone aspirations and providing 100% affordable homes for our residents. I congratulate Swan Housing on this effort and look forward to future developments."
