Swan’s sustainability story so far…
Swan is looking to become more sustainable in its day-to-day activities. We are encouraging all our stakeholders to have a role in upholding our sustainability principles. This means communicating our vision of sustainability is a key task for Swan going forward. To help us do this, Swan’s Green Team have drafted a Sustainability Vision document. The Sustainability Vision will not only be communicated to all our staff, but will also be made available to our residents, partners and the wider public too. Swan Sustainability Vision
The Swan Sustainability Vision has been drafted in consultation with members of staff from all departments. The aim of the Vision document is to create a Swan-wide approach to addressing sustainability issues and to promote understanding of the importance of these issues among Swan staff, residents, partners and peers. It will also pave the way for introducing new sustainability initiatives.
What next for sustainability at Swan?
The Sustainability Vision is currently in draft format and initial approval has been given by the Board. The Sustainability Vision will be reviewed in 2012 at the Resident Consultative Committees, Service Improvement Committee and the Regional Committees before going to Board for final approval.
