Swan in the community
Resident involvement and community development remain paramount to the activities of the Group.
We have a central team dedicated to developing and implementing a wide range of methods to involve residents and get their views on the quality of service they receive.
The Group aims to continue to develop new ways of engaging with residents to get as wide a range of feedback as possible.
Residents Away Day
A very successful Residents Away Day was held on the 30th May at the Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre.
The purpose of the day was to give residents the opportunity to influence our Service Improvement Plans for 08/09. We also consulted residents about the drafts of the new leaflets that we are producing, and the service standards that we are setting for each service.
We will ensure that all of the issues that were raised will be addressed in this years Service Improvement Plans, which will be produced by the end of June.
In addition, the service improvement plans will also be drawn up to include:
-
Activities from this years service improvement plans and Striving for Excellence leaflet which still require
completion - Issues that have been raised over the year through satisfaction surveys, complaints and questionnaires
-
Issues that have been raised through other inspections from Chartermark, International Organisation for
Standardisation (ISO) and Quality Housing Services (QHS) -
Any actions required to reflect best practice, or legal requirements.
The Away Day was a very positive and useful contribution to our planning for the coming year. We would like to arrange a similar event in around six months time so that we can work with residents again to review the progress that has been made, and ensure that we fully understand our customers priorities.
