Floating Support
The Generic Floating Support Service:
Swan provides a generic floating support service within the Greater Haven Gateway which consists of Colchester, Braintree, Tendring and Maldon. We have recently been reviewed by the Supporting People Team as having an 'A' standard service, which means that Swan provide excellent services.
Floating Support is a free service and is a flexible service providing a range of support to people regardless of their housing situation. We support people who are residents of other housing associations, home owners or people living in temporary accommodation. The service focuses on a range of individuals with some of the following needs:

- Mental Health
- Young People
- Drug and Alcohol misuse
- Vulnerable adults within the community
- Families who require support
- Homlessness

The aim of the service is to provide a support package that is individual to each person and that meets their needs. The plan is outcome focused to support them to achieve their maximum degree of independence.
Learning Disabilities Floating Support Service
Swan, working in partnership with the Essex Supporting People team, developed a specialised floating support service for people with learning disabilities. We have recently been reviewed by the Supporting People Team as having an 'A' standard service, which means that Swan provide excellent services.
The aim of the service is to promote independence, assist individuals to sustain their tenancies / accommodation and encourage involvement within the community.
This is a free service and is available throughout Essex (except Southend and Thurrock) and available to residents of Swan, other housing associations, home owners and private landlords. They can be living with friends and family or in temporary accommodation.
