How to Pay Your Rent - Key Worker Housing

  1. Set up a World Pay account at the Swan accommodation office, this will deduct your rent payment on the first working day of every month.
  2. Call your local office to make a payment over the Phone
  3. Come into the office to see us and we can take your payment by debit card. (in advance of the first working day of the month).

Implications of NOT paying your rent

The tenancy that you hold with Swan Housing is a contract confirming that you shall pay the rent in order to stay in your home.  If you breach this and fail to make the payments to your rent account and the account falls into arrears Swan have to begin their arrears procedure.

If the rent continues to remain unpaid, you have failed to contact or make an acceptable agreement you shall get served with a Notice which is the initial start of the Court proceedings.  Swan wants to ensure that our residents can sustain their tenancies however will not tolerate unpaid rent.  As a last resort Swan will apply to Court and obtain Eviction Warrants which will result in you losing your home.
