Swan Housing Association receives outstanding rating by Care Quality Commission for its ‘innovative’, ‘individualised’ and ‘compassionate’ personal care and support service.
Over 120 residents from the Exmouth Estate, E1 attended the first in a series of consultation events to gather their views on the planned development of the area fronting Commercial Road, on Thursday 6 and Saturday 8 February (2020). Residents viewed a series of consultation boards outlining the vison behind the scheme, which is set to create approximately 250 new homes alongside community facilities such as new shops and green spaces as well as environmental improvements.
Ambitious plans to transform the Queensway Estate into a vibrant new place have been revealed by Porters Place Southend-on-Sea LLP, the joint venture between Southend-on-Sea Borough Council and Swan Housing Association. The revised vision revealed by the LLP today, is in response to clear direction received from residents and local stakeholders during the first round of consultation in October 2019. The new plans are for approximately 1,700 new homes, including new homes for secure tenants currently living on the estate, plus new additional affordable housing for Southend-on-Sea and private sale homes for local buyers.
Swan Housing Association welcomed MP Nadhim Zahawi, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Business and Industry), to its award-winning modular housing factory in Basildon, Essex on Thursday 6 February. The Minister asked to visit the Swan’s factory to find out more about the innovative approach to building more sustainable high-quality homes, more quickly.
