Delivering effective services, enterprising solutions and exemplary homes and communities.
Swan Housing Association is celebrating being named as the WhatHouse? 'Housing Association of the Year 2017' and number 22 Best Not-for-Profit Organisation to work for by the Sunday Times (and number eight Best Housing Association) with new livery for their Estate Services vehicles.
The new livery has been unveiled today at Swan's Regional Office in Tower Hamlets by Sandra Fawcett, Swan's Executive Director - Operations and Tower Hamlets Mayor John Biggs.
The WhatHouse? Award celebrates all aspects of Swan's performance from the design and build of new properties, value for money, management and marketing. It also recognises the innovative solutions Swan uses to assist buyers onto the home ownership ladder or into rented accommodation, according to their needs and status.
The judges of this award particularly noted Swan's willingness to take on those difficult challenges that others do not and applauded our focus on providing high quality community facilities such as The Reach, at Blackwall Reach, which the Mayor of London recently used to launch his new Housing Strategy and where this unveiling took place.
Swan has also been recently recognised as one of the UK's Best Companies to Work For for the third consecutive year. Swan has made outstanding progress during this time and climbed 42 places to number 22 since first entering the chart in 2016. The scores make Swan one of the UK's top ten Housing Association's to work for, with all scores based on confidential feedback from Swan staff.
Sandra Fawcett said:
We are delighted that the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is keen to help us celebrate our success. We are dedicated to delivering the highest standards of services and facilities to our residents and to working in partnership with the Borough. We hope our new livery raises awareness of our recent award successes as the vans travel to our developments throughout Tower Hamlets, East London and Essex."
Mayor John Biggs said:
I'm delighted that Swan has achieved this accolade as Housing Association of the year and was also recognised as a great place to work. I congratulate them today."
Cllr Sirajul Islam Statutory Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Housing added:
Delivering quality housing for our residents is a top priority for us as a Council. Seeing Swan recognised as the HA of the year is a fine achievement and we in the council congratulate them on this."
