Delivering effective services, enterprising solutions and exemplary homes and communities.
Swan welcomed Will Quince MP, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance, to The Reach Community Hub as part of a visit organised by our partners Metropolitan Thames Valley (MTVH). His visit to The Reach was so that he could see the successful Transform and Achieve employment programme which Swan hosts at the flagship community facility and runs in partnership with MTVH and a consortium of social landlords in Tower Hamlets.
Transform and Achieve is a free scheme aimed at people who are out of work and is delivered with support from JP Morgan. The programme is based on a holistic model, providing employment training, alongside coaching in mental wellbeing, nutrition and fitness and aims to support people into employment, training or volunteering.
More than 200 people have participated in Transform and Achieve since it was launched in 2018 - including 106 referrals via Jobcentre Plus. It is hugely successful and almost 100 participants have found a job after completing the programme.
Sandra Fawcett, Swan's Executive Director - Operations said "We were delighted to welcome Will Quince MP and our partners from MTVH to The Reach Community Hub to see the Transform and Achieve programme. This successful programme is changing lives and really making a different to our communities."
