Jubilee fun for our Foyer and Keyworker Living customers
Swan customers living in our Specialist Accommodation had a fun-filled weekend of festivities, coming together to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
There were garden parties, cake and even a royal-themed movie marathon.
Our customers living at the Swan House Foyer, a supported housing facility for young people aged 16-25, made the most of the long bank holiday weekend with activities kicking off on Wednesday and lasting through to Sunday.
Making sure Swan House looked the part, one resident got creative and helped to decorate by creating a red, white and blue balloon arch. The celebrations were then ready to kick off and over Thursday and Friday, residents enjoyed making a Jubilee trifle, having a royal afternoon tea and sitting down to watch a selection of films with royal-related names (such as King Kong).
On Saturday, the festivities continued with residents invited to a fish and chip garden party, which proved particularly popular. On Sunday, a brunch fit for a queen was served whilst residents enjoyed a re-run of the Platinum Party at the Palace.
It was not just our Foyer customers who celebrated Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne but our Keyworker Living customers were also in high spirits, coming together for a garden party. There was a feast of sandwiches, salads, crisps and cakes provided by Swan, with entertainment including a lucky dip, face painting, music, water balloons and arts and crafts.
Customers and Swan staff enjoyed all the celebrations together and are already looking forward to taking part in future events.
