Laindon highways Planning Application approved

We are pleased to be able to update the Laindon community that our Planning Application to make the changes to the highways design that were required by Essex County Council was approved at Basildon Council’s Planning Committee on 8 April 2022.

These highways works will enable Lidl to begin work on their new, larger store at Laindon Place that will replace the existing store on Manor Road. This will create a larger supermarket provision for the existing and new Laindon community, as part of Swan’s regeneration plans.

The new Lidl store is part of a brand-new high street that will be delivered under the regeneration scheme, along with a landscaped public realm, 224 new high-quality homes and an expanded health centre.
