Meet Swan’s new Head of Estate Services

Earlier this year, Swan Housing Association said goodbye to colleague Jorgen Dyer, our former Head of Estate Services, who went off to enjoy his retirement after nearly 17 years working at Swan. Many of our customers living in Tower Hamlets may well know Jorgen, he has been a familiar face around our estates and developments, particularly in Tower Hamlets, a borough he has worked in for 30 years.

During his time at Swan, Jorgen was responsible for leading our Estate Services team, the team responsible for maintaining our estates in the communities where we work, ensuring they are safe, clean and tidy for our customers.

With Jorgen now free to enjoy a restful retirement with his family, Swan has welcomed new Head of Estate Services, Daniel Thurlow, to the team.

Dan has worked in housing management for almost 20 years, having first started at Swan as a trainee back in 2004.

He said: “I come to work every day because I want to help people love where they live. I see great neighbourhoods as places that are attractive and safe, where children can play outside, and neighbours know each other.

“Looking after the communal areas is essential in delivering a great area to live. I want to build on the work Swan has already done and keep making our local areas better and better.”
