Laindon community to have a say on centre regeneration
Members of the local community are being invited to share their views on redevelopment plans to transform the Laindon centre at two community events on Thursday 27 July.
Sanctuary announced in March it was working with Swan Housing Association to deliver the Laindon centre regeneration. It follows Sanctuary’s takeover of Swan earlier this year.
The two community events will take place on Thursday 27 July at Laindon Community Centre from 3pm – 5pm and at Paddocks Community Hall from 7pm – 9pm. There will be an opportunity to meet the project team, see Sanctuary’s initial ideas, and have a say on the regeneration.
Sarah Brind, Head of Development – South, for Sanctuary said: “We understand the importance of the project to the local community and the wider borough of Basildon. We’ve been reviewing the site to find a solution to get the regeneration back on track and now want to hear what the community think of these initial ideas.
“Their feedback will be important in ensuring we can take this project forward with the support of the local community, working alongside Basildon Council.”
Community members can also learn more about the project online at www.sanctuary.co.uk/laindon and share feedback using an online form, from Thursday 27 July until Thursday 10 August.
