Blackwall Reach, Tower Hamlets, London, E14
In partnership with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the GLA, we’re regenerating Blackwall Reach in Tower Hamlets to deliver 1,500 new homes, of which around half will be affordable for social rent and shared ownership.
The phased scheme also includes new community facilities, commercial units and improved access to Blackwall DLR and local amenities through enhanced public realm.
Phase 1 has been completed, creating 340 new homes, a new Swan office, a community facility, a replacement mosque and an extended school and was delivered by a main contractor.
Phase 2 will create 268 new homes, replacing the west block of Robin Hood Gardens with a mix of new social and affordable housing for existing residents, as well as new private sale homes which will help subsidise the 50% affordable scheme at Blackwall. Millennium green will also be retained and revitalised to provide a landscaped park for all to enjoy. Phase 2 is being built by our in-house developer, NU living and work is progressing well.
Phase 3 will complete this incredible transformation of the existing Robin Hood Gardens site by constructing over 300 new homes on the eastern half of the park.
